Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
http://www.avianflutalk.com/forum_topics.asp?FID=13
The above website seems to have discussion forums on most aspects of survivalism including medical specific and prophylactic measures to minimize risk of transmission. I urge you to visit this site and become more conscious of measures you can take and follow to avoid this disease. NOTE: There is concern that in event of widespread outbreak, groceries and medicines will be limited to supply on hand because resupply will not be possible without substantial risk to workers. Preparations made today might be what deliver you and your family. |

Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
I fear bird flu is more likely a real illness that actually exists, almost exclusively in birds and the rest is politicized hype, like mad cow. Motive? Control of the food supply. They've already foisted hybrid crops that can't self-polinate, now they're pushing for their NAIS program which wants to register all farms on GPS and put a chip in every single animal raised for food or you can't sell.

BUT....the 'Mad cow' disease I believe is real and serious.....I was researching the similiarities in the cows that they've studied...seems ALL had deficiencies in copper of all things... :-) Or better put....had a higher level of copper...since it is not (so far as I know) a metal that is needed for homeostasis. Seems the cows that had a finite amount of copper in their system did not contract the prions and therefore didn't come down with the illness. The prions didn't bind on nuerons in an environment with trace amounts of copper. Prions are so very nasty though.....they are not a bacteria nor a virus.....and they're very hard to kill.....I suspect them to be man made like mycoplasms.....weaponized bugs that were either let out by accident or for nefarious purposes. Anyway.....I digress..... :flute: don't mind me... |

Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
Glad to see others here know about and use homeopathic remedies. Do you have a good Materia Medica and Repertory?
One thing to be considering is the effects that Just In Time inventories have on our ability to purchase preparatory items. If you buy now, you can be certain you will have what you need. If you wait, what you want may not be available when you decide you are ready. Point is, if deliveries are suspended, and people planning for this epidemic are anticipating they will be, all there is available to purchase is what's on the shelves or pallets at Costco or wherever you shop. In terms of grocers, seldom do they stock more than a dozen or two of any one item. So, I urge all consideration to preparations be made now, and then buy what you decide you need as often as you can find it until you have what you need. Boiron's big O (who can roll oscillicocinum off their tongue easily?) is a superb remedy, yet it only has been effective for us in the Very Early stages of flu symptoms. If you read about the history of the 1918 flu, you will find homeopathy was The Only Effective course of treatment. My wife is our homeopath, so I don't know which remedies proved best then, but you can be sure there is great source material for this out there. If you have a Kent's Repertory, you can see all the remedies that proved on certain symptoms. The details on symptoms are amazing. If you have an in-depth reserve of remedies, you can Shotgun your treatment. Proving individual remedies may take time you don't have; so you use several at once, (shotgunning). I will put in a plug for Standard Homeopathic. They used to offer very nice discount structures and prompt delivery as well as the widest variety of remedies and potencies available. One remedy most companies do not sell to retail customers is nosoids. Know what nosoids are? I congratulate you on awareness of mad cow disease. We have not bought beef or chosen to eat any for several years now. We eat buffalo, chicken, and natural, non-irradiated, pork; as well as some game animals. We do eat some ice cream and organic yogurts, but quit buying cow's milk 17 years ago in favor of Rice Milk. If you want to build up your immune system, I urge you to investigate Macrobiotics. If nothing else, learn some recipes for using Brown Rice and a variety of beans since these are very inexpensive and long term foods for storage. Also try some Miso Soup stock. Miso Soup, the dark varieties, were proven to aid Hiroshima & Nagasaki victims in their recoveries from radioactive poisoning. It is superbly hearty and tasty as well. Burdock root is another superb Macro food for blood cleansing and very tasty as well. One last thing to try at home is growing and juicing your own Wheatgrass. Compared to $5 an oz at the health food store, you can plant your own crop and clip your "grass" for a couple of pennies (after you buy a juicing grinder - ow!). Also you may even have Dandelion in your yard. Very edible, if you don't know you or your neighbors haven't had a lawn fertilizing company out to spray, or used weed killers routinely. Growing sprouts is also a good and easy way to replace salad greens you won't get if Bird Flu manifests within the population at large. I would say, "Good Luck", but you are making your own luck by learning how to take care of yourselves. Congratulations. Every dollar you spend on eating right and alternative health seems to pay back about ten fold. |
Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
:clap2: Awsome! Yep I am a daughter of a Natroupathic Doc. I have a champion juicer, miso, quinoa, LOL. I have heard of nosodes is that the same?

Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
This is a great thread !!!! I have much to add but yet for me I'm pondering on listing the bugs/chemicals/etc and posting the remedies to them.....or saying the hell with it and adding the pertinent links to each.....hhhmmm...ok....nuff pondering
for now I'll just suggest this book.... Radical Healing by Rudolph Ballentine M. D. *Phenomenal*!!! Has anyone heard of it? Herbals Homeopathics and Cell Salts Flower Remedies Nutrition and more Easy to do self assesment Detox and exercise and movement Self help guide and inex Needed products for your home medicine kit for you and your family and more....and as I said...an excellent reference even for newbies! There is more to add but yet have not done any searches on the subject so as not to be redundant:rolleyes: Check it out if you have not already:ARMS1: :rose: |
Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
Somebody told me sauerkraut was fed to a group of geese, not fed to the control, and then both were exposed to the virus with the apparent result of the sauerkraut offering some resistance to avian flu. Anybody heard anything about that?

Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
I have heard of this too...from more then a handful of people and places....
I'll check it out when I get a chance and see whatsup...thanks for the reminder of the 'kraut cure'... being polish and german....I might be the wrong person to be disserning....and justa side note....I think I read it works best when drinking a beer!! JK:beer: |
Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
What the Saurkraut cure is actually has to do with the pobiotics and the natural bacteria contained in it. You won't get the effects from store bought because its pasturized. a good site to check out on this is http://www.westonaprice.org/splash_2.htm

Re: Some are reporting that Bird Flu is now human transmitted...
I am also not worried about getting sick from the bird flu. The mass panic an outbreak could cause however might be a problem. I also tend to think that this is more about pushing animal ID and controlling the food supply.
As for protecting yourself. Eat organic, lots of raw fruits and veggies. Probiotics are good too. Raw garlic chewed or well crushed to activate it is a powerful anti viral/fungal/bacteria agent. (the pills are garbage) Have been looking into some other herbs as well. |
